Terrence Heaggans Wins Top Honor

Terrence Heaggans, Morrilton High School senior, was honored on President’s Day as the overall winner of the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen contest.  He was first nominated by the faculty and then elected by his classmates.  After selection, he wrote an impromptu essay.  Students from four other area high schools were also in the competition.  Heaggans’ essay was chosen as the best by a panel of anonymous judges. His essay was sent to the state competition. Other high schools in the competition were Perryville High School, Pottsville High School, Nemo Vista High School and Wonderview High School.
