Wins Top Honor |

Terrence
Heaggans, Morrilton High School senior, was honored on
President’s Day as the overall winner of the Daughters of the
American Revolution Good Citizen contest. He was first
nominated by the faculty and then elected by his classmates.
After selection, he wrote an impromptu essay. Students from
four other area high schools were also in the competition.
Heaggans’ essay was chosen as the best by a panel of anonymous
judges. His essay was sent to the state competition. Other high
schools in the competition were Perryville High School,
Pottsville High School, Nemo Vista High School and Wonderview
High School. |

County School Counts
There’s something growing in
Conway County. Representatives from the local secondary schools
in Conway County, the University of Arkansas Community College
at Morrilton and the local business community announced the
Conway County School Counts! initiative. |
