Art Club

         On Saturday February 2, 2008, the annual Arkansas Art competition sponsored by the Department of Education and AETN was held in Fayetteville.  Four students from Morrilton High School sent in drawings and paintings to compete.  Nathan Adams (9th), Sophie LeBlanc (11th) and Gennifer Majors (12th) all received honorable mention awards. David Nevarez's painting was selected as first place in the 12th grade division. 

         In the competition, there were more than 500 pieces judged by the U of A art department faculty.  David's painting will be featured on the Dept of Ed website, an AETN broadcast and displayed for 3 months in the state capital. 

This picture was painted by David Nevarez.  It's called "Fear of Drawing."
