Counselors Corner

Students may pick up a 2011-2012 ACT packet in the counselor’s office or apply on line at www.actstudent.org. The fee for taking

the ACT is $34.00. Morrilton High School will give the ACT in September, February, December, and April. If you qualify for free/reduced lunch you may get two fee waivers from your counselor while you are in high school.

March 15, 2012	American legion Coudret Trust Scholarship – Must be children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren of American Legionnaires or children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren of deceased legionnaires.

March 16, 2012	Arkansas Public Health Association Scholarship – Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average and have plans to enroll in a field of public health (nursing, etc.)
March 16, 2012	September Fund Scholarship – Must have an immediate family member who is or was either an officer of the law, a firefighter, or an emergency medical technician (can be a volunteer).

April 4, 2012	Faulkner County Master Gardener Scholarship – For someone pursuing a degree in a plant science related field. Has to be received in Conway by April 4^th.

May 1, 2012	Women’s Southern Golf Association Scholarship – Must be a female who plays golf or has an interest in golf.
May 1, 2012	Association of Arkansas Counties Scholarship – Must have minimum 3.0 gpa and 18 composite on the ACT and be the child, grandchild, adopted child, or stepchild of a current or retired county employee of Arkansas.
