News from the Library!

Students have been enjoying the new Accelerated Reader program.  Our quiz base has grown from having about 3000 quizzes available to students to having about 103,000 quizzes.  To check and see if a book has an Accelerated Reader quiz, students can go to www.renlearn.com and click on store, then quiz store and then just type in the book title.

The library has new laptops for student use this year. 

Three hundred new fiction and non-fiction books have been added to the library so far this fall including the new Stephanie Meyer’s books:  Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse that many of the students are reading.

Several new reference books have been added to the library this fall and used by teachers and students doing research.  Mr. McBryde’s Environmental Science classes have been using the new Arkansas Plants, Insects, and Amphibians references.  Mrs. Kibe, Mrs. Stobaugh, and Mrs. Bratton’s classes have been using Notable Young Authors, Notable Latino and African American Writers for their fall research.
