Dear SCCSD Learning Community,
Today, March 19th, Gov. Hutchinson made the decision to close all public schools in Arkansas through April 17th.
We will still be on “AMI” days. “AMI” means Alternative Method of Instruction. On these days, students will not go to school, but work on their AMI packets that have been sent home. These packets will also be available on each school’s website or the SCCSD website at www.sccsd.org. The SCCSD will be providing more information for additional “AMI” instruction material/options that go beyond the ten (10) days that were sent home on March 16th. Please watch on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), download the district app, and the district website for more information. Please be sure that you relax during the week of March 23rd-27th for Spring Break. No “AMI” is required during those days.
Teachers will be available through various methods on “AMI” days from 8:00 a.m. through 3:25 p.m. for any assistance. The schools will be sending home communications about how best to contact each teacher.
The SCCSD will also provide lunches at no cost for students during the “AMI” days. The SCCSD has 3 ways for you to order lunch for the AMI days March 17-20th:
