Subject: 2020 Graduation In an effort to celebrate the successes and this milestone for the Senior Class of 2020, we are going to conduct two celebrations for our seniors and their families. First we are going to have a Devil Dog Walk Through opportunity where seniors will have their name called and walk across the stage at H.B. White Auditorium, which I will get into more detail below. A compilation video of all seniors walking in this event, along with speeches from various classmates and administrators will be made and distributed free of charge at a later date. The second celebration is an “on the field graduation” scheduled for July 23rd at 8:00pm at Devil Dog Stadium. The Devil Dog Walk Through will take place Monday May 18th and Tuesday May 19th from 8:00am-3:00pm. A staff member from the graduation committee will be in contact with each senior to set up their time of celebration. Items of interest are bulleted below.1. Full graduation regalia should be worn2. Cords and other honors will be given to the students before they enter H.B. White.3. A photographer will be on site to take a photo4. Social Distancing will be practiced.5. Only 10 family members will be allowed in to celebrate6. Due to 165 graduating only 5 mins will be allowed for each Devil Dog graduate.7. Please be prompt.8. Families will enter and exit through H.B. White from the parking lot behind the Devil Dog Arena. Please do not enter from the MHS entrance. The graduation at Devil Dog Stadium will be a graduation that will be as close to traditional as the situation will allow. Unless we get further mandates from the Center for Disease Control and The State of Arkansas, we will ask that each graduate only bring a limited number of family members, which will be decided as the situation develops. Tickets to each family will be sent to graduate through the mail. Only family members with a ticket will be allowed to view this event. Social distancing will be practiced. Graduates will be seated 6 feet apart with limited contact. The home and visitor’s seating will be open for our guests. We will closely follow guidelines from the Center for Disease Control while conducting both of these events. It is our ultimate goal to provide a safe and celebratory environment for all participantsIf you have any questions or concerns, please call Danny Ketcherside, Principal at Morrilton High School.
