We had a GREAT first day back! Thank you, families, for your patience, flexibility, and grace as we got everyone where they needed to be. ❤️ As we head into Day 2, we know afternoon traffic may still take a little extra time. Please be patient and follow the traffic patterns shown below. 🚗🚌 The first few days are all about getting into a routine, and we promise—it will get smoother! Dear Parents and Guardians of Bus Riders,

With afternoon temperatures reaching 100 degrees or higher, we want to take additional steps to help keep our students safe and as comfortable as possible during their bus ride home.

Beginning today, the South Conway County School District will provide cold bottled water to students riding our buses home in the afternoons when temperatures are extremely hot.

Our school buses are equipped with air conditioning; however, during extreme heat, it can be difficult for the air conditioning systems to keep up—especially when buses are making frequent stops and opening their doors. When appropriate, we will also allow bus windows to be opened to increase airflow and help keep the buses cooler.

We will continue providing bottled water during afternoon routes for as long as temperatures remain extremely hot.

Thank you for your understanding and, most importantly, for the trust you place in us each day. The safety and well-being of your children are extremely important to us. We will continue doing everything we reasonably can to keep them safe, hydrated, and comfortable while they are in our care.

🤠Well, look who’s ridin’ into town! 🐴 Our Reading Intervention Team is always ready to lend a helping hand and cheer on every young reader. They know that every cowboy and cowgirl learns at their own pace, and they’re there to celebrate every milestone along the trail. MES is a better place because of this hardworking bunch. We’re sure glad they’re part of our posse!

⭐ Next up... Meet the Special Education Team Every good posse needs folks you can count on, and this crew is exactly that. Our Special Education Team rides alongside students, families, and teachers every step of the trail. They work with patience, kindness, and determination to make sure every Mighty Pup has the opportunity to shine. We’re proud to have these trailblazers riding with the MES family!
