The South Conway County School District (SCCSD) Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brian L. Toneygay as the representative for Zone 4. The Board made this appointment during a called meeting on Wednesday, October 29, in accordance with Arkansas Code Annotated §6-13-611, which governs the process for filling school board vacancies.
This appointment reflects the Board’s continued commitment to transparency, collaboration, and service to the district's scholars and families. Mr. Toneygay’s leadership will strengthen the district’s mission to maximize the safety, learning, and achievement of every scholar while supporting the shared purpose to Love, Serve, and Care for People and the vision to be a beacon of hope in our community.
Mr. Toneygay and his wife have two children attending schools in the South Conway County School District. A retired Marine veteran, Mr. Toneygay honorably served our nation for 22 years, including global deployments in Operations Desert Thunder, Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. In addition to his distinguished military service, Mr. Toneygay continues to serve his community as the Head Chairman and Deacon at Union Baptist Church in Morrilton, Arkansas.
