December 7th Calendar of Events:
This month’s character focus is Empathy. One way to think about Empathy is “understanding and connecting with other people’s feelings.” Empathy is a practice that can help us grow strong relationships.
Empathy is 1 of 3 traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Kind. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like perspective-taking, conflict resolution, and leadership.

The South Conway County School District will be closed November 20-24 for Thanksgiving Break.
Students and Staff will return to school on Monday, November 27th.

2nd Grade finished out their Perspective and Point of View Unit with the book Balloons Over Broadway. They learned about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, created their own balloon, wrote about the parade from the perspective of their balloon, and then had a parade with their balloons this afternoon. Whew! Lots of learning and lots of fun! 🤗❤️🎈

Congratulations to Mrs. Tiffanie Manes on being awarded the Carrie Taylor Distinguished Director of the Year award for High School! This is her second time to achieve this award.
The South Conway County School District is blessed to have Ms. Manes serving our scholars as the Director of Choral Performance!
