Morrilton Junior High School has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school that is Beating the Odds for Math, because students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire even though the school serves a high percentage of students who participate in Free and Reduced Lunch!
Awards are based on the 2021 content growth score calculated by the Arkansas Department of Education. These growth scores reflect how much students at the school improved from 2019 compared to how much they were expected to grow considering prior achievement. The OEP
recognizes schools based on Overall growth, as well as for growth in Math and English Language Arts separately.

The South Conway County School District will be on Thanksgiving Break November 22-26. There will be no school next week.

Congratulations to Devil Dog Band students that have qualified for the All-Region Jazz Band. They will be participating in the All-Region Band Clinic on December 3-4. The qualifying students are:
Wyatt Crow - First Alternate, Tenor Saxophone
Brandon Echols - 1st Band/2nd Chair, Bass Guitar
Bradley Mendelssohn - 2nd Band/1st Chair, Bass Guitar
Caleb Purtle - First Alternate, Trombone
Kiley Viveiros - 2nd Band/2nd Chair, Trumpet
