Three members of the South Conway County School District Board of Education were recognized at the ASBA Conference for continuing education hours:
1. Mr. John Gibson - President's Award - 500 hours of training
2. Mr. Craig Mullins - Pinnacle Award - 200 hours of training
3. Ms. Sue Spivey - Pinnacle Award - 200 hours of training

Due to a shortage of bus drivers, bus 36 will be a late bus this afternoon, 12/7/21.
The winter band concert is this Thursday, Dec. 9th at 5 p.m. in HB Auditorium. Beginning band will begin at 5 p.m. followed by the 8th grade band. The HS band concert will begin at 6 p.m.

Morrilton Junior High School has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school that is Beating the Odds for Math, because students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire even though the school serves a high percentage of students who participate in Free and Reduced Lunch!
Awards are based on the 2021 content growth score calculated by the Arkansas Department of Education. These growth scores reflect how much students at the school improved from 2019 compared to how much they were expected to grow considering prior achievement. The OEP
recognizes schools based on Overall growth, as well as for growth in Math and English Language Arts separately.
