Beginning Monday, February 14, 2022, face coverings will no longer be required on busses or at school in the South Conway County School District.

SCCSD busses will run routes in the morning 2/7/22, but will not travel on any roads that may be still be covered with snow/ice.
DevilDog Basketball Update.
This is a no-brainer, but out of an abundance of caution, the South Conway County School District (SCCSD) will be closed for onsite instruction on Friday, February 4th. The District will utilize Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Day #2.
During AMI days, staff will be available by email from 8:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. Students are expected to login to Google Classroom for grades K-8 and Canvas for Grades 9-12 to access their learning assignments AMI Day #2. Completed assignments will be used for attendance and grades.
Parents, please help us ensure your students are working online or offline in their Google Classroom/Canvas accounts. Please email your teachers if you need any assistance. Teachers will notify students of any Google Meet or Zoom opportunities.

Due to forecasted severe weather conditions, the SCCSD will be closed for onsite instruction on Thursday, February 3rd. The District will utilize Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Day #1.

February 2nd Calendar of Events
Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Morrilton 7th grade and Jr High basketball game scheduled for Thursday, Feb 3 will be played Wednesday, Feb 2. 9th grade teams will begin play at 4pm followed by 8th grade and then 7th.
February 1st Calendar of Events
The 21-22 Academic Calendar has been revised:
1. February 7th is a normal day of school.
2. February 17th will be early dismissal at 2:25 p.m. for Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Due to a shortage of bus drivers, bus 67 will be a late bus this afternoon 1/31/22.
The weather forecast for Wednesday night into Thursday morning is one that bears watching for all school districts. The SCCSD is watching the weather forecast at this time. This type of weather forecast is unpredictable and has been changing every few hours.
The tricky part with the forecast for Wednesday night/Thursday morning is the freezing rain element. Conditions can become treacherous very quickly with ice. The SCCSD will do our best in making safe decisions for our students, staff, and families.
