Due to a shortage of bus drivers, Busses 34 & 36 will be late today.

Seniors & Guardians,
There are several important dates that you need to know for this year.
Senior pictures are due Friday, October 29. If they are turned in after this date there is a chance that your picture may not be in the yearbook. Email your picture to rosej@sccsd.k12.ar.us.
Senior Recognition Ads: Early bird pricing ends Dec. 3, and the final deadline is Feb. 1.
Senior Wills and superlatives are due by Monday, November 15. Be looking for a Google Form that includes both of those.
If you are unable to have senior photos taken, please let me know and we can take them for you with our professional yearbook camera.
If you do not get a senior photo taken or have one taken by us, you have the option to get a composite photo taken on picture retake day. Failure to have your picture taken in any form will result in your not being in the yearbook.
If you have any questions you can email Ms. Rose at rosej@sccsd.k12.ar.us.
Any senior parents/guardians who would like to be added to an email list with deadline reminders, send your name and best contact email address to Jean Rose (rosej@sccsd.k12.ar.us).
New hands-free water fountains are being installed in every building in the SCCSD. This hands-free water fountain can be found at MJHS.

On Friday, August 6, 2021, Judge Tim Fox issued a temporary injunction on Act 1002. Act 1002 of 2021 states a state agency or entity, a political subdivision of the state, or a state or local official shall not mandate an individual in this state to use a face mask, face shield, or other face covering.
With the injunction on Act 1002, schools can require students and staff to wear face coverings during times of extraordinary circumstances, such as a declared public emergency by the governor of the state. The state of Arkansas is under a declared public health emergency by Governor Hutchinson due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in the state.
Face coverings will be required indoors and on busses by all students and staff members when physical distancing of 6ft cannot be achieved. The SCCSD will utilize the data located at https://achi.net/covid19/, to determine when the SCCSD will be able to allow face coverings to be optional.
When the COVID infection rates average 0-9 new known infections for two weeks, the District may recommend face coverings to become optional.
